As part of the South Asian Music conference held at SOAS, I presented a practised based paper in which I demonstrated the similarities and differences between sitar right hand bols and cello bowings. I explained the challenges faced when adapting the right hand bols of a Hindustani music gat to the cello and ways they are overcome.
