This is a string quartet that comes out of just one phrase repeated in different textural combinations. The simple and focused material draws the attention of the listener into the physicality of the sound and ways of sounding, without the distraction of too much material. The title comes from the way Napoleon Dynamite says goodbye. It was chosen because this piece marked my departure from the Eurocentric mode of composition in which I had been working until this point.
Violin I: Simon Ralph Goff
Violin II: Sarah Farmer
Viola: Eileen Smith
Cello: Sara Gale
